Hi mom and seesstterrr! This post is mainly for you. Just to show you that although I haven't mucked a stall in
As you can see the horses are happy as clams and don't worry about all of that hay in the aisle, because yep, I swept that up too! Clean barn = happy barn!
I've also learned that boys love a girl who isn't afraid of some manure on the bottom of her boot! CL was lovin' the barn Cara and said I looked like a natural. ---> I'm sorry hunny, but I really did grow up on horses and I did ride for a long time. I just prefer 5 pound pets opposed to a 900 pound pet (the poop is a lot smaller).
He also told me we can never leave this place. I don't know if it was the money talking or the fumes of the horse dung, but he sure is in love with this place. I swear I heard him curse the horses this morning when he was up at 7 a.m. wheeling the manure wagon over to the trees... just kiddin'!
Apparently these horses want to be on America's Next Top Pony because the sound of a camera makes them freeze and pose (even with a bucket full of food at their feet). There is no horsin' around when it comes to business with these two! HA!
Don't worry Mom, sissy already called to check in on them yesterday and CL showed me your
We got it dude!
I'm sure all of you are just as surprised as my mom and sister that I did in fact grow up on a farm and can in fact manage without two horses without supervision. I'm joking Mom! haha
What's something I don't know about you?
Hahaha love this post! I love horses, but the whole poop thing does suck :)
ReplyDeleteNot only have I shoveled stalls, I rode horses in an amateur rodeo one summer long ago.
ReplyDelete@Dave P wow that is impressive! i would have never guessed!! my aunt's neighbors have an annual bull rodeo thinga-ma-jig that is a lot of fun too hahaha
ReplyDeleteawww those horses are beautiful! It makes me miss riding but not scooping poop!
ReplyDeleteThe horses are so pretty! I once got to name a racing horse -- it was born on my birthday so I came up with - Gemini's Jewel!
ReplyDeleteThat is really neat! The horses are beautiful! I've never actually ridden a horse, but I might try to do that this year when I visit my parents in arizona!
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend and I dream about living on a farm!! Not a horse farm, just a farm (not that we want to move in together ANY TIME SOON!) He says I can handle the veggies and he'll take care of the steer. I told him he could raise them as long as he treated them nicely and I didn't have to eat them, only love them.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you're having fun. Such a gorgeous place!
I LOVE THIS!!! I wanna come visit and ride horses!!! So neat that you grew up on a farm!
ReplyDeleteMucking doesn't sound like fun, but getting in some barn time totally does. Very cool.

ReplyDeletesomething about me? well since we're talking horses... I used to horseback ride at camp and a angry horse named granny decided we should go play on the highway off the trail in oncoming traffic.... then run into the stable wall... and then play in the lake by the stable.
and I still heart horses =) haha
Such pretty horses! I went horseback riding when I was a kid but I haven't done it since. I would love to, although I'm scared of being thrown off!
